Our Story:

Long ago (in a galaxy far, far away))) in 2011, two childhood friends, Nazar Lapko and Oleksandr Druk, got together and decided that Ukraine needs beautiful jewelry that doesn't look like it was made in the huge factory, is exquisite and affordable. This is how EJ (Exclusive Jewelry) was born.

But the story didn’t start in 2011. Nazar and Oleksandr, knew each other since they were toddlers. They went to the same day care, the same public school and later to the same Art College. After finishing Art College in 2001 both friends went separate career paths: Oleksandr went to get his MBA and Nazar began working with countless jewelry companies in Ukraine as a designer and a creator of new lines of jewelry.

During this long career in the jewelry field Nazar discovered that not many custom, one of a kind affordable designs are available to most people. While Nazar was working for different jewelry companies, Oleksandr finished his MBA and was successfully working in marketing. As a young boy Oleksandr told everybody that someday he will own a company. 

Needless to say that a lot of people laughed at the ambitious dreams of a child. So when Nazar and Oleksandr met again in 2011 Oleksand’s dream of owning the company and Nazar’s dream of making something very unique, special and truly custom created EJ Studios (official Ukrainian business name of the company. ‘EJ from Ukraine’ is an overseas part of this company). Nazar and Oleksandr became co-owners of the brand. Nazar is creating jewelry and Oleksandr is taking care of all money and law matters.

The core team of EJ Studios has two more people: Lyudmila and Andriy.

Lyudmila is a psychotherapist turned artist. She graduated from the university with a psychotherapist degree and soon after joined EJ Studios as an office manager. There Lyudmila discovered that she loves making jewelry, is very good at it and wants to be an artist (you can see her hands making “We are from Ukraine” ring video on our YouTube channel).

The last person on the EJ team in Ukraine is Andriy, who is responsible for web design and all things computer related.


Our Team:

Nazar Lapko


After finishing Art College in 2001, Nazar began working with countless jewelry companies in Ukraine as a designer. In 2011 his dream was to make something very unique, special and truly custom created by EJ Studios. Nazar is one of the founding fathers of the EJ brand.

Oleksandr Druk


Oleksandr is one of the founding fathers of the EJ brand in Ukraine in 2011. After finishing his MBA, he was successfully working in marketing. Oleksandr takes care of all money and legal matters of the business.

Lyudmila Yukhimenko


Lyudmila is a psychotherapist turned artist. She graduated from the university with a psychotherapist degree and soon discovered that she loves making jewelry, is very good at it and wants to be a jeweler herself.

Olena Brownfield


Olena was born and raised in Ukraine. In her 20th she moved to the United States to study business at the university level. Right now Olena resides in the state of Ohio. She loves helping this awesome small Ukrainian business to succeed on the international market.

Sergey Green


Sergey’s road was long and winding, until 2019 most of his experience was in engineering and construction. Then he decided to change his life completely and focused on different projects, most of them in international communication and business administration. He loves helping other people and does everything to make Ukraine great.
